John Powers, MD Site Program Director

Dr. Powers is a board certified psychiatrist and has been working in outpatient psychiatry at Billings Clinic since August 2019. In addition to his role as Program Director for the Montana Track, He is also the Medical Director for Integrated Behavioral Health at Billings Clinic and the psychiatric consultant for the Integrated Behavioral Health programs at the West End & Heights clinics, and the Beartooth Clinic in Red Lodge, MT. Dr. Powers is originally from Tulsa, OK, and completed a BA in Philosophy at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. After working for several years in various fields including education and journalism, he went on to attend The Medical School for International Health at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Be’er Sheva, Israel then completed training in psychiatry at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
